Sri Sri 108 Swami Janakidasji Kathiababa was a Brajabidehi Mohanta and Srimohanta of Nimbarka Sampraday of Chatuhsampraday. He attained spiritual salvation through arduous practice and severe self-discipline. Though he was extremely gifted and knowledgeable, yet he preferred to remain silent most of the time. He used to say that, “If you are living in this material world, there will be several reasons that will be reasons behind your sadness, but, that should not be the reason for you to leave your sansar dharma.” According to Geeta, “Sanyasastu dukshamaptum ajogatah”. The inclination towards sanyas dharma should come only through spirit of renunciation and stoicism. |
When one attains absolute thoughtless state of mind only then he has attained total control over his mind. In other words, “Purification of mind is equal to concentration of mind which again is equal to absolute thoughtless state of mind”. He used to cite examples from the stories of Upanishad. He used to advise his confused disciples that man can attain Salvation (realize its proper form) only by obeying the advices of Guru. If one follows the instructions of his/her Guru in an unperturbed, indiscriminate, unopposed manner he/she can attain the Moksha (liberation from all bondages even births and deaths) without observing any other rituals. He used to repeat one verse a lot, he used to say that, “My highest wish is to find within the God, whom find everywhere without.” That means God resides within His followers. |

Those who really love Him and wants Him, God shows them the proper route to succeed in his or her life. He used to say that, “Danger always comes from within, never from outside.” So, one should be more careful about the enemies that reside within himself than those who pose difficulty from our exterior. Thus even complicated philosophical principles used to sound simple in his discussion. Dr. Swami Prajnadasji Kathiababa has recorded some of his verses in his books about him. |
