Teacher’s Day Celebration : September 05, 2009

Like previous years, Teacher’s day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Swami JanakiDasji Madhyamik Siksha Kendra at Agradwip. Beside the graceful presence of Babaji Maharaj, Dr. Kali Charan Das, a renowned physicist was the chief guest on the occasion. Shri Babaji Maharaj welcomed Dr. Das on behalf of the school authority. Amongst the key activities, sapling of plants was one done by Dr. Das and Babaji Maharaj in the school premises. All the teachers of the school were introduced to Dr. Das, the Chief Guest.

Babaji Maharaj, on this occasion honored the teachers of the school and   presented silver pen to each of them. This was followed by a  small cultural function with recitation,  song and dance performed by the students. Some of the teachers delivered short speech on Teachers Day, mentioning different aspects of Dr. Sarbapalli RadahKrishnan whose birthday is commemorated as Teacher’s Day.

Dr. Das addressed the participants and targeting both students and the teachers stressed on the importance of Teacher’s Day.  From his vast experience,  he gave suggestions to the teachers as how to teach the students. Also he advised the students to respect the teachers and study with greater attention.

Shri Babaji Maharaj gave his valuable advice to the audience and thanked Dr. Das for attending this function.  Prasad was distributed to all participants.
