Dr. Swami Prajnadasji KathiaBaba Maharaj is the worthy follower of Sri Sri 108 Swami Janakidas Kathiababa. He was very talented and meritorious student right from his childhood. He was so intelligent that he never stood second in his lifetime. He became first class first in his Masters (Philosophy) from Burdwan University. Later he did his PhD on ‘Karl Marx and Nimbarka Vedanta Philosophy’. A successful student like him could have decided to pursue any professional career and made a rich man of himself. But he responded to the greater call of his inner soul. He used to visit the Baror Ashram of Sri Sri 108 Swami Janakidasji Babaji Maharaj from his childhood. Quite often he would be seen sitting at the temple of Ma Muktakeshi lost in his thoughts.

During that early age he had decided to dedicate his life to the cause of serving other fellow human beings. Since then he has been continuing serving mankind. He was highly inspired and touched by the sermons of his spiritual father Swami Janakidas Kathiababa. After the Mahaprayan of his Gurudev, he was eagerly searching for a place where he can meditate completely in tranquil. During that time Mr. Sisir Ghosal, the ex-Zamindar of Natungram brought him to their Kachhari (Administrative Office) of Natungram. The place was then totally unkempt. And he found this place very suitable for his meditation. During that time Mr. Ghosal helped him a lot and made the place suitable for his living. Mr Ghosal and others used to visit him regularly and provided him with necessary support. However in night it was not very comfortable to stay there alone as the place was surrounded by wild bushes and inhabited by different reptiles without any electricity available. In this Kachhari Swami Prajnadasji meditated his Eeshwarswaroop Guruji’s name in an intense and merciless manner. Day by day, he attained his spiritual knowledge and Salvation. Gradually people came to know about his Holy Soul and the place became the Ashram.

During this period when he was meditating, many reptiles would cross his body, some of them even poisonous, but none would harm him or disturb him in his meditation. Like his Gurudev and following Parampara tradition, Swami Prajnadas KathiaBabaji Maharaj always used to shun publicity. Always he values preaching his Gurudev, Sri Sri 108 Swami Janakidasji Babaji Maharaj’s name more than his own. He wants to remain behind the limelight and help others, and invites and solicits everyone's help both physical and mental in doing so. Apart from Natungram he has two more nice Ashrams in Vrindabana and Simla.
