Activities

School -The state Government with the help of Dr. Sri Sri Swami Prajnadasji Kathiababa founded “Swami Janakidas Madhyamik Shiksha Kendra”, a Junior level High School in Natungram. Till date this school has permission for teaching upto class VIII. An effort is continuously being made to upgrade this school to Madhyamik level. If the effort meets with success, then many students from Hamidpur, Bahara, Nutangram, Shibnagar, Shimuldanga, Kathalberia, Chandanpur, Krishnabati, etc, will be highly benefited. Presently, the school has a strength of about 400 students. About 20 lakh Rupees was spent over this project.

Library - For the betterment of the students and also to help spread education among the mass a Library named “Swami Janakidas Shebak Sangha Pathagar” has been formed. About 2000 books that include text books, referrals, story books are kept here. Like the school, this library has also been constructed with the help and donation from Babaji Maharaj’s disciples.

Health Care services - Kathiababa has constructed economic toilets according to the stipulation of the Panchayat. He also secretly helps poor people to buy medicines or food. Every Sunday, a Homoeopath Doctor either Dr. Sukumar Ganguly and Dr. Budhdhadeb Dey visits the place and the people of that region get treatment there at a very nominal cost.

A temple of Excellence - A huge temple is being constructed at the Natungram Ashrama. Kathiababa himself is

giving his own Shrama or labour to build this. This temple will serve as a place where all the distressed souls can come and pray together for The Omnipotent’s blessing with Babaji Maharaj.

Other Miscellaneous Services - Kathiababa has spent a lot of money to bring electricity in the village of Natungram. He and his disciples have also helped the efforts of Jela Parishad to metal the road that connects Natungram with Agradweep Rail Station Crossing.
